About Us
YOUR HOME FOR WOODSMANSHIP
The Southern Outdoorsmen Podcast was created for one simple reason - to be a recourse for hunters.
Whether you have been hunting for 2 days or 20 years you will find our content helpful.
We prioritize woodsmanship and relentlessly seek out the absolute best deer hunters from across the county for interviews.
This show is not about us, it is about them, their knowledge, and their generosity in helping their community out with hard earned knowledge.

Our Story
Created by Andrew Maxwell in 2017 - The Southern Outdoorsmen was born to be a recouce for all hunters, but especially those of us who reside in the Deep South. Originally created as a blog, the buisness quickly evolved into a podcast within a few months.

In Febuary of 2018 Andrew teamed up with Jacob Myers (some of you know him as 'The ginger bowhunter') to launch the Southern Outdoorsmen Podcast. Since its inception the podcast has seen hundreds of guests from all over the country - many of whom are the absolutle best of the best hunters in their areas. From the start we have focused on real hunters who hammer the same public land, hunting clubs, and leases we do - not hunting persoinalitires who have access to the best ground in the country.
The result has been a tidal wave of listener success stories over the years - our listeners have been able to apply what they hear on the show where they hunt.
